The Waingapu Shelf is a single live-edge suar slab, 100 cm long and 25 cm deep, paired with a hand-carved ebony bracket that doubles as the wall mounting point. The bracket is a single piece of Sumba ebony, carved and sanded to a rounded profile, and drilled for two M6 wall plugs.
Installation requires two wall anchors (included). The slab sits in a rebate cut into the back face of the bracket — no visible fixings from the front. Available as a single shelf or in sets of two or three at different heights.
A display shelf for ceramics, books, or plants. A bathroom shelf over a basin. A bedside shelf where a table would take too much floor space. A kitchen shelf for spices and small items.
The suar slab is finished in natural beeswax and suitable for interior use only. The ebony bracket is unfinished. Wall plugs and M6 bolts included. Suitable for masonry and stud walls.

Live-edge suar slab, one straight back edge and one live edge. Finished in natural beeswax. Natural voids and grain variations present in every piece. Kiln-dried and stable for interior use.
Hand-carved from a single piece of Diospyros celebica. The rebate for the slab shelf is cut by hand saw and chiselled smooth. The bracket's outer face is rounded to a quarter-circle profile. No finish applied — ebony is self-sufficient.
Re-wax the suar slab annually with natural beeswax. Wipe up spills immediately. Avoid placing very wet objects directly on the surface — use a coaster or tray.
Wipe the ebony bracket with a dry cloth. No treatment needed. If a scratch appears, buff along the grain with 400-grit sandpaper.
